As collectors of oriental antiques, the new owners of this 17,500 sq.ft. residence wanted a home that would bring together the esoteric principals of their Asian heritage with the architectural language of newfound Canada. The house was initially designed by Dan White MAIBC and finished by Brian Hemingway. The historic eastern mandala is a guiding principle and recurring theme in all details. The new home presents itself as a live-in art gallery; natural materials and light are the backdrop to a magnificent collection of artifacts. |
